Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at Cottage Yushin and would recommend that anyone staying at/around Lake Kawaguchi stay here as this side of the lake was very quiet and not nearly as crowded as the other side near Kawaguchi Station (the side where Mt Fuji is). We had a breathtaking view of Mt Fuji from the main room of our cottage and although the bath on the first floor did not share that view (trees are in the way), the bath is phenomenal and we definitely took advantage of the big tub and its water heating abilities. However, the only reason we didn't give 5-stars was because the space desperately needs some sound proofing. We had two sets of upstairs neighbors during our stay there so I know it wasn't just that our specific neighbors were loud or stomping around, the floor/ceiling is just absolutely not sound proofed at all and it really took away from the charm of this lodging for us.
