Summary: Great little bed and breakfast style hotel, the rooms were spacious, we had a cool little loft in our room which was huge. Its a bit of a walk into town but Sasa was more than happy to drive us in at night and drive us around to whichever ski resort we wanted to go to in the morning. Easy walking distance to Akakura Kanko ski resort, on the way home you can cut through the carpark just after the bridge and ski down the hill to the back of the hotel (probably wouldn't try skiing across the creek though even if it looks like its frozen solid, we saw a massive hole open up and the water was deep and flowing quickly underneath). The hotel offers breakfast for about 1000yen there are next to no breakfast options around the hotel or at the ski resorts so this was a good option.
