Positive: Staff were exceptional, very accommodating. Provided breakfast to us outside of the breakfast times as we had a tour booked early. Very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was absolutely stunning, completely breathtaking. Breakfast and dinner very good. Snacks and water provided in the room with great selection of the snacks.
Negative: The room is sold as having a hot tub however there is not enough hot water available to make it usable. Contacted staff twice about this during our stay who said there was hot water but we didn’t experience this. The hot water runs for 10 mins and is then cold, for a huge bath of that size it only made a puddle in the bottom of the bath before then filling with freezing cold water which made it unusable. We were very disappointed in this as it was a huge reason why we booked. The road traffic noise is very loud, I’m a very heavy sleeper but had the most terrible sleep, motorbikes revving and speeding throughout the night even at 2,3 in the morning. Dinner is delivered to the room, and whilst delicious and cheaply priced, you have to leave it outside your room (which is outdoors)when you’re done at 7pm and it is not collected until the following morning. There is already an awful lot of ants and wildlife as it is which is to be expected, let alone when leaving leftovers outside your tent all night. Lastly, we experienced a powercut for 9 hours or so on the final day of our stay due to a storm (completely not the hotels fault of course) but no torches/candles/lanterns were provided which may sound picky, but this location is completely pitch black at night due to its isolated location meaning we were sat in utter darkness unable to see each other, our food or even get to the toilet which was down very slippery stairs due to the storm! Every hotel we’ve stayed in Thailand provides torches as standard for this. Overall we were left really quite disappointed in our stay despite the stunning accommodation and fantastic staff.
