Summary: Enjoyed the free boat ride to and return from the chalet as it is situated at truly the final end of the village from the jetty. The room condition was okay, good enough for a decent stay by four persons. WiFi was not existed so you have to rely on your own data but the signal was a bit weak. Overall, worth a stay.

Summary: There ain't much to do here. So unless you wish to escape with peers or family without reliable connectivity, otherwise it is not worth the money (we paid sgd150/night for the seaview rooms.

Summary: Located inside the labyrinth that was originally a fishing village built out over the water, but now has many home stays catering to tourists. We arrived on a Thursday and were the only people there for that night and were told it was quieter with the lack of Singaporean tourist due to border closure. By Friday night we noticed a lot more tourists in the area as well as at the home stay we were in. Xiang Holiday Home was perfect for us - at the furtherest extreme of the village with lovely ocean breeze and open views towards SIngapore and Sumatra. The room was not fancy but spacious with aircon and a mini fridge (that needed a good clean around the seal) that wasn’t on when we arrived but got that sorted soon after. Mr Xian Di was very friendly and welcoming - in fact everyone we came into contact with in the area were great. We ate from a nearby local restaurant getting takeaway and bringing it back to out breezy patio. Loved our whole two night experience and it was perfectly situated for our bike ride to/from Tanjung Piai on the Friday . (We cycled from JB to this location and back). Would happily stay here again.
